We all need Kanye West’s self-confidence for 2020

There’s no denying that Kanye West is one of the most controversial celebs about right now; you either love him or hate him, he’s the new marmite. While some may see his confidence as arrogant and annoying, it could be that we all need to adopt some of his self-confidence, often publicised in tweet form, as we approach 2020. With the winter darkness and cold weather arriving, it’s common to feel a little down, so why not take some inspiration from the self-proclaimed Yeezus himself and maybe even stencil his words on your wall? Your landlord will love you.

“My greatest pain in life is that I will never see myself perform live.”

Kanye, I feel for you; I too will never see you perform live what with the cost of your concert tickets. I mean, I think people suffer much worse pain each day, but it’s true that he never will have this experience. Everyone should take a dose of this self-confidence and feel like they’re that good at something.

“You are now watching the greatest living rockstar on the planet.”

Yeah, I forgot that rapping makes you a rockstar; forget about the Rolling Stones, Kanye West’s rap equates to much better rock music. In all seriousness, remember, you’re definitely the best at something.

“So when I raise my hand and say ‘Hey I’m a creative genius,’ it’s not out of arrogance – it’s out of motherfucking truth.”

I always tell myself this when I write articles because you know, it’s the truth.

“Humbleness and humility? I don’t like it. It doesn’t feel natural.”

Don’t hide your greatness hun, brag about it.

“I‘m a photographer’s dream.”

Work those angles, girl. Next time your friends want to get a pic you don’t want to be in, remember this iconic Kanye West quote.

“But… but, I’m the best.”

Of course, you are. Next time someone tries to tell you that you’re not worth it, respond with this dose of self-confidence.

“Come on now! How could you be me and want to be someone else?”

Well, you are the best so that thought shouldn’t cross your mind. Be happy with who you are!

I don’t know about you, but I certainly feel much better about myself now – thanks, Kanye. Think I need to pull down my Love, Live, Laugh stencils and smother my walls with Kanye West quotes to keep me going.
