Considering a career in the creative industries?
If the answer is yes, then you need to hear about ERIC Festival.
ERIC Festival is a revolutionary new type of careers fair. Forget boring stalls, free pens and recruiters in suits - think stages, entertainment and relevant content on how to get your dream career in the Creative Industries (Fashion, Film, Broadcast Media, Music, Publishing, Architecture, Advertising, Gaming, Arts & Culture, Design, Craft).
On September 10th, at their fantastic sponsor The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, ERIC Festival are hosting a festival all about starting a career in fashion. Whether you've been planning a career in fashion since you were young or you're just interested in keeping your options open, you won't want to miss this day.
What other careers fair allows you to have your makeup done professionally, experience virtual reality, listen to upcoming artists and sample some of the newest products on the market, all while taking CV workshops and getting involved in masterclasses with some incredible people from the fashion industry? It's the dream - doing something productive for your future while having an absolute blast.
Tyro, Campus Society's online magazine, is lucky enough to be partnering with ERIC, and we think that some of our writers and Campus Society bloggers would be pretty excited about their fashion festival. The event is completely FREE and will offer those of you interested in fashion, or a career in journalism, the chance to immerse yourself in options and advice.
After all, this is no ordinary career fair - this is ERIC festival.
Tyro is going to be at the festival hosting 40-minute sessions on how to get into digital journalism. We aren't teaching you how to get a job at Vogue, but how to kick-start your career in digital journalism and potentially write for us.
ERIC festival will be hosted at The Hospital Club - a fantastic venue perfectly located in Covent Garden. ERIC is supported by The Hospital Club Charity and also HIIVE, and the festival has been built out of a passion for getting young people, like you, informed and excited about creative careers. Come along to meet others like you, chat to people who are in the industry, and have an inspiring day.
