This looks like a good book and certainly one I can relate to.

I didn’t have a big selection of books growing up but the ones I had; I treasured. I still have 3 of my favourite ones on my bookshelf. They are dog eared and bent in ways which I get prissy about now 😂 and they really couldn’t be more different from each other.

Emma and freckles by Valerie Beales is a story about the relationship between a young girl and her horse.

Ballet shoes by Noel streatfield was adapted to television (starring Emma Watson) and is about 3 orphans adopted into the same family who are very different from each other.

Finally, is The mennyms by Sylvia Waugh is about living ragdolls. I can’t remember the story much for this one but looking at the book fills me with happiness and contentment.

I loved on these books like close relatives and this is the power of a good story. The immersion into a new world and the embracing of the characters found within.

These were my Harry Potter.
