Of Suffragettes and Women's Rights: 1918 - 2018
A belated bravo to all of those brave women who fought for those of us today to have the rights we do! We are closer to equality than ever and, whilst there is still a long way to go, let us keep the memory of these individuals alive. They stood up and said 'we have a voice' - let us continue to use it!
At Feminist Society here at YSJ this week we were thrilled to discuss and commemorate the occasion of the first women to get the vote in 1918. And this weekend I'm headed to the People's History Museum in Manchester to see what others have to say.
