It gets better
So I just came out of one of the hardest seasons of my life. Exam season! I know I sound a bit dramatic and looking back I agree with you. However, in recognising the importance of doing well fear of the unknown began to dominate my thoughts. Fear of not knowing what will and won’t come up. Whether or not I will remember everything or whether or not I will manage my time in the exam. All of these were running through my mind.
And I’m going to be really honest with you. I had multiple panic attacks, outbursts of crying fits and I actually became very depressed. The past two weeks have been really tough and this spiralling of emotions resulted in me being extremely tried and mentally drained. However I pushed through and made it. I think?
Now I can decide to be fearful of whether or not I will pass these exams. But that takes me to my point, it gets better but that depends on us.

God has given us a tool. The tool of faith. This holds so much power. It enables us to believe and hope for things that we do not see.

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”

However, the activation of this tool depends on us. We can choose to have faith or live in doubt. And this determines whether or not things get better.

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF DOUBT?
Nothing. When you doubt God or doubt yourself you remain stagnant. In doubting yourself, you shy away from taking risks and making moves that challenge you and force you to grow.

In doubting God, you replace peace of mind with constant stress. You live a life of fear and worry because you don’t believe that God is in control. Or even if you do believe that God is in control, you underestimate what he can do. This then causes you to feel obligated to take control. And that is just stress!!

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF FAITH?
Hope. Hope for things you can’t see. But believe one day will physically manifest.
Peace. Peace of mind.
Strength. Strength to help you move mountains.
Purpose. The purpose of trusting in God, his plan for you and what he has said concerning you.
So in your opinion, is it better to live in doubt or faith?

It. Gets. Better. When you put your faith in Christ.

I hope this encourages you like it encouraged me.

And just know that whatever you are going through is not bigger than God. So put your trust and faith in him. He will help you through it.
