Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and the SpaceX program, successfully launched the world's most powerful rocket, Falcon Heavy. He strapped his Tesla Roadster to the nose, and it will be playing David Bowie's 'Life on Mars' for the next 3 - 5 billion years thanks to the attached solar panels. Falcon Heavy is currently orbiting Earth.

Tuesday marked 100 years since select women in the UK won the right to vote (those who were over 30, graduates, or owned property). We still have some way to go regarding women's rights, but can thank the suffragettes for kickstarting it all.

Planners in Manchester also announced that they would be building an 8ft bronze statue of local suffragette leader Emeline Pankhurst in St Peter's Square in 2019.
