Someone who means a lot to me is my sister, Emma. I know it seems cheesy and cliche, but she honestly is my best friend.

We're twins, so our bond is as close as you can get. Of course, we drive each other crazy most of the time and to say we don't fight sometimes would be a lie.

That being said, I honestly can't imagine anyone else (or anyone better) to have experienced the joy, sadness and everything else I've experienced in the 20 years (nearly 21, but I like to deny that I'm basically an adult!) I've been alive.

I talk a lot on here about my lack of confidence in myself but, in part because of Emma, I can see that I've grown in confidence. She always encourages me to be the best version of me and is extremely kind and caring, and she's the optimistic one when I'm the one thinking the world's falling apart.

Going to university was- and still is, it's not over yet(!)- a bizarre experience for us. Of course we do things separately but going to uni marked the first time we weren't going to be together in education (we'd been going to the same school since infants). For the first few weeks, I honestly didn't like it. Even though I saw her when I got home, I actually missed her for the first time in my life- like properly missed her!

That being said, I actually think we're a lot closer now! I'm incredibly thankful for her putting up with me talking about books I've read, worrying about essays I always get done and stressing over things I don't need to stress about.

I couldn't ask for anyone better to be my best friend and sister all in one!
