New Year, new me

It’s December! I have no idea where the time went in November to be honest. I’ve been at my new job for 4 weeks now too and it has definitely gone superrrrr quickly!

This time of year it’s always rather busy for most people; Christmas shopping, preparing for 2018 at work and sitting/revising for exams or doing coursework at Uni. It’s important not to get too caught up in the moment though and understand that some days you have to give yourself a bit of a break. Last week was particularly manic for me (sorry I didn’t manage to upload a blog because of it!) But basically I was so tired and then went Christmas shopping at the weekend, out for a meal and then a Christmas market on the Sunday. So, this meant that something have to give that week and in this case it was my blog. You shouldn’t be hard on yourself if something has to give sometimes though, just as long as you don’t give up with it, then it will still be there waiting for you to pick it back up again when you are ready. It’s all about prioritising!

Usually around this time of year people start thinking about their New Years resolutions. I don’t often really think about it much myself but I guess there are somethings that I would like to change or do in 2018. For instance, it’s been a while since I did any form of fitness, admittedly I do have some gym equipment at home but I still haven’t been able to find the motivation to even use that! So, I’ve been thinking for 2018 I would like to be a bit more active, perhaps even go to a gym class once a week.

The other thing is to keep working on ways to conquer my anxiety. I have been really proud of myself recently and I definitely want to keep working on it! Maybe I will do a bit more of a detailed post one time for you on my anxiety and how I’ve dealt with it. My panic attacks take place behind the wheel of my car and it’s something that came on very suddenly and can be rather scary at times, but I’ve not given up with driving and will carry on to do so in 2018!
