So many of you will have work years, placement, trials etc this is my placement advice for you.
-When interviewing for placements, dress how you would for the role but "posh it up" a bit. For example if your role is working with teens at a football camp, don't turn up in your kit. Wear smart trousers and a shirt but make yourself look open and approachable.
-Keep a diary from day one. The chances are you have to write an evaluation or project about your placement. This diary will help you track events, development and key lessons that you learnt and makes writing a lot easier.
-Finally, be yourself. At the end of the day you don't want to spend the rest of your life pretending and often these placements offer part time work or a full time job after your degree.
So that's my three placement top tips.
